  1. BOMB A RESEARCH SITE

  3. Toward the end of the war, German 
  4. research and development was still 
  5. operating at a feverish pitch to 
  6. complete ever more desperate secret 
  7. weapons projects.  Although Allied 
  8. intelligence knew about much of the R&D 
  9. that the Germans were conducting, these
  10. sites were nonetheless prime targets 
  11. for bombing raids.

  13.                     YOUR MISSION
  14.  
  15. You are flying in a formation of B-17s
  16. headed for the Gottingen research site.  
  17. During your briefing this morning, 
  18. intelligence reports indicated that some 
  19. of the German secret weapons that were 
  20. developed at this site may well be 
  21. defending the area from Allied bombing 
  22. raids.  As you near the target, you 
  23. wonder what the Luftwaffe will hurl at 
  24. you today.
